Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical (Pre-Contract)

We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical focused on Pre-Contract estimation to lead the pre-contract commercial functions for major MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical cost planning and estimating from concept through to tender stages.
• Prepare and manage detailed BoQ and pricing documents for mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide cost advice, value engineering input, and lifecycle cost analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, cost models, and budget development for new projects.
• Issue requests for quotations (RFQs), analyze subcontractor/supplier bids, and assist with commercial evaluations.
• Support bid teams in the preparation of commercial submissions and tender clarifications.
• Provide input to client presentations, interviews, and negotiations during the tender process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience, with a strong background in pre-contract QS roles, specifically within mechanical disciplines.
• Deep understanding of mechanical building services and associated cost drivers.
• Proven experience in cost planning, procurement, and tender documentation for large-scale projects (e.g., hospitals, commercial towers, industrial plants).
• Proficient in cost estimating software, including CostX and MS Office Suite.
